Mountain Range

They use their traditions to get income from tourist.  Direct Tribal income comes from the Cherokee lands through timber stumpage receipts and the lease of Tribal lands 5% Tribal sales. The lands are mountains with small valleys along the rivers and streams, best suited for farming, business, and recreational sites. Living in the mountains affects how the people of Cherokee live and work. They live in small areas because of the mountains surrounding them and work in small traditional shops. The Harris hotel and casino is also a big tourist attraction!
